Blackwater Winery

Blackwater Wines comes to the farm for a South African winemaker dinner in the Cowshed.

Founded by Francois Haasbroek, Blackwater is all about small-production wines with a sense of place. The wines are shaped by overlooked parcels, old vines and a careful, low-intervention approach that lets the Cape do most of the talking. Haasbroek studied viticulture and oenology at Stellenbosch University before working with names including Neil Ellis, Dry Creek Vineyard and Jackson Estate.

For this dinner, the Cowshed kitchen will build a seasonal menu around the wines, pulling from the farm and the time of year. Expect fresh, characterful bottles, proper food and a hosted evening that gives each wine room to breathe.
