Christmas 2025
Woodland Light Trail
Woodland Light Trail
Four times bigger. Four times brighter.
Tis the Season
This winter, the Tewinbury Woodland Light Trail returns, now four times longer then last year and more spectacular than before.
Beginning at the main farmhouse, the illuminated path winds through the Stable Garden, into Rectory Woods and across open fields, looping back into Westley Wood and the meadow, before finishing at the new Farmyard by the river where our Après Ski Bar awaits.
Follow the glowing trail and discover moments of wonder along the way. Step through a glittering tunnel of lights, pause beneath starlit groves, wander into enchanted forests and find yourself in glowing fields alive with colour and sound. Interactive installations, playful projections and unexpected pauses for music and dance transform the walk into a festive journey for all ages.
There will be no Santa’s grotto this year, but families can still share magical moments in our cosy storytime tent where Santa will be reading festive tales. Children can also make their own reindeer food to sprinkle on Christmas Eve, they'll be an area to create your santa list, and a post box ready to post and keep their eyes peeled for enchanting creatures hidden along the trail.
What’s new this year:
- An expanded journey beginning at the farmhouse and unfolding across gardens, woods and meadows with more light and sound than ever before
- Immersive highlights including interactive lighting shows, sparkling groves and glowing fields filled with colour and movement
- Festive fun for children with Santa’s storytime tent and hands-on seasonal activities
- Après Ski Bar finale in the new riverside Farmyard where DJs and live music set the scene for winter cocktails, mulled wine and seasonal treats every evening
Whether you come with family, friends or for a festive date night, the Tewinbury Woodland Light Trail is the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Trail highlights
The trail begins at the Nutcracker Welcome where toy soldiers stand at the entrance. They guide you towards the start and set the tone for the walk ahead.
You step into the Tunnel of Lights, a glowing passage that carries you into the woodland. Each step feels like moving further from the everyday.
The path opens into the Starlight Grove where lights hang above like stars. You stop for a moment and look up.
In the clearing stands the Electric Fir, a tree lit in shifting colours. It marks the centre of the space before you move on.
The trail then leads into the Enchanted Forest where small lights sit along the branches and guide you through.
At the Boogie Stop the quiet breaks. Music plays, people move and the air feels lighter.
The path settles again at the Grove of Light where a cluster of trees glow together. At the heart sits Tewinbury Glow, a space that feels warm and open.
Further along the Reindeer in the Wild appear, shapes caught in light between the trees. They stand quietly as you pass.
You follow the Hidden Fence, its posts lit to show the way.
The Twilight Hedge Walk brings you through a narrow path of soft light before opening into the Lightwood, a woodland bright with colour.
At Fireside Halt the trail slows. The horse box bar serves drinks and the firepits glow with marshmallows ready to toast. Children gather here for something special, the chance to make their own reindeer food. Using vegetables grown on the farm the activity is hands on and full of colour. Families mix and create together knowing they will leave with something to scatter at home on Christmas Eve. It is playful, a little messy and a moment everyone can join in.
Beyond it the Glow Flock rest in the field, a group of shapes glowing in the dark.
The trail stretches into the Field of Dreams, a wide space where the ground is lit in soft patterns.
Tucked away is the Story Tent with Santa where children gather to listen. Nearby you find the Photo Op, a chance to capture the night, and the post box where you can Send Your Letter to Santa.
The walk ends at the Après Ski Bar and Food Stalls with drinks, food and the sound of people gathering. It is the place where the trail closes and the evening carries on.
