Planning Your Growing Space for Next Season

This private event will be held by Lloyd Harrison, founder of Tewin Greens Market Garden, and will be within the Market Garden itself.
The workshop will last around 2.5-3 hours with a Q&A during a refreshment break.
The workshop will cover the following categories:
- Understanding your Growing Space.
- Choosing what to Grow.
- Crop Planning Basics.
- Soil health and Fertility.
- Pulling it all together.

What to bring
It will be helpful to bring an aerial plan of your growing space/containers and whether it's North, South facing etc. plus what other factors to consider e.g shade ove the land from trees, tall buildings, and also where your water source is located within that.
You may choose to bring a Notebook & Pen to take notes however we will also have hand-outs we will be working on during this workshop.

What to wear
We will be spending time both inside (in the polytunnel/shelter), and outside walking around the garden. Please wear comfortable warm clothing as well as a waterproof jacket just in case. Tewin Greens is a working market garden, therefore the ground can be slightly muddy and potentially slippy at this time of year so sensible footwear is a must, we recommend wellies.

Facilities/Refreshments
Refreshments will be provided on the day.
At the moment Tewin Greens doesn’t have an onsite toilet, but the Granary Kitchen restaurant is a short walk from the Market Garden and has facilities you can use.

How to find us
Tewin Greens is based within the grounds of Tewinbury Farm, so head there as your first port of call. Enter Tewinbury farm via the main entrance. As you drive through the farm you will eventually arrive at a mini roundabout. Take the second exit and follow the road round and up. Keep going untill you see the Polytunnel in the field, park up near the field and head on in.
