Frequently asked questions

  1. Are dogs allowed?

    Yep! Our Woodland Huts and selected bedrooms are dog-friendly.  A charge of £20 per stay applies and includes a dog bed and dog bowl in the room. You’re more than welcome to relax with your pooch on the Farm Shop and Stable terraces, but we do ask that dogs aren’t taken inside the restaurant.

  2. What are your check-in and check-out times?

    You can check in from 3pm and check out by 11am.

    If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or head off a bit later, there are plenty of things to do around the farm. Pop into The Stable for a drink or grab a bite to eat at the Farm Shop or Cowshed.

  3. What’s your room cancellation policy?

    If for any reason you have any last-minute changes to your trip, please contact us directly on 01438 717 793 or email reservations@tewinbury.co.uk. You can cancel a booking up to 1pm the day before arrival. Cancellations after 1pm the day before your arrival will incur a full room tariff charge.

    If you have booked through a third-party website, please check their cancellation policy as this may differ.

  4. How do I get to Tewinbury?

    You can catch a train from London Kings Cross to either Welwyn North station or Welwyn Garden City station and arrive there in 30 minutes. It’s then a short 5/10-minute taxi ride from both stations. If you’re driving, we’re just off the B1000 and have plenty of guest parking space. There’s also a bike rack for you to leave your bike if you are cycling here.

  5. Where do I park?

    There's lots of parking available at the hotel, just follow the signs for guest parking when you drive through the entrance.

  6. Is parking free?

    All our parking is completely free.

  7. Do you have an electric car charging port?

    We recently installed an electric charging port on site, this is for the use of paying customers only.

    Overnight residents can use this for free, all other hotel guests must register their car details & pre-pay at Reception.

  8. Is there complimentary WiFi?

    You can enjoy free WiFi throughout your stay with us. Connect by simply selecting ‘Tewin Bury’ from the list of available networks.

  9. When will my room be cleaned?

    Our housekeeping team will do a deep clean and a thorough check of your room before your arrival. And once you’re with us, daily housekeeping service will be provided.

  10. What time is breakfast?

    Guests can enjoy breakfast at the Cowshed between 7am & 10am - Monday to Friday, a between 8am & 10.30am - Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.

  11. Are children welcome?

    Of course! All we ask is that children are always accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our Family and Family Plus rooms are ideal for families if you’re looking to spend the evening with us.

  12. Where can I eat and drink?

    We've got a range of dining experiences available at our farm. Enjoy hearty dishes and laid-back lunches at the Farm Shop, an à la carte menu and award-winning afternoon tea at the Cowshed, and barista brews and cocktails at The Stable. Our pop-up Horsebox Bar is the perfect place to grab a coffee, some sweet treats, or a cold beer before strolling around our grounds.

  13. Can I book an event?

    Absolutely. We run a number of events including cookery classes, live music nights, tribute nights, and more. Visit our Upcoming Events page and see what's happening real soon.
